Richard Dennis - Financial Adviser

Richard commenced E.D'A Financial Services in 2008 and E.D'A Financial Services is a member of the E.D'A Group. Established in 1971, the E.D'A Group is a company that has typically focused on the general insurance needs for a wide range of small to medium enterprises around Perth. In 2008 E.D'A decided to expand this offer to include financial services.

Richard has been a part of the financial planning industry since 1990 and has seen many changes in that time. He started his career as a manager with AMP before, in 2001, becoming the founding principle of Choice Planning Solutions. Choice Planning Solutions was a company that focused on providing corporate superannuation services to a range of businesses across Australia. Having grown his own company from scratch to reach in excess of $45 million in assets under advice in less than 3 years, Richard was brought on board with Willis Australia to start up their Employee Benefits program for WA & SA.

Having successfully achieved this, Richard then joined Asteron as a Business Development Manager and held that position for 3 years. During his time at Asteron, Richard continued to gain an extensive working knowledge of the financial planning industry. Richard has combined this invaluable experience with an ongoing educational program. He is an Affiliate of the Australian Insurance Institute (AAI) and has completed the Diploma of Financial Planning (Dip FP) and Diploma of Management (Dip Mgt) – both through Deakin University. Richard is also a member of the Association of Financial Planners.

On a personal note, Richard has played in the VFL/AFL for seven years with Carlton and North Melbourne during the 80's and 90's. He was a member on Carlton's 1987 premiership team, has played several State-of-Origin games for WA and was the assistant coach of East Perth (for whom he played 70 games) in the WAFL during their triple premiership run in 2000/01/02. He is married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family, all sports and outdoor activities (especially golf!).
